Isocyanates
They are isocyanates used in many sectors including floor coverings, adhesives, sandwich panels and polyurethane applications for insulation.
What are Isocyanates
Isocyanates are one of the two main components that react with polyols to form polyurethane. Pluskim supplies MDI- and TDI-based isocyanates used in rigid and flexible foams, elastomers, coatings, adhesives and binders, and offers them in its own systems under the PLUSNATE series.
MDI (methylene diphenyl diisocyanate) comes in polymeric, monomeric and modified grades. Polymeric MDI is the base component of rigid foam applications such as sandwich panels, spray foam, refrigerators and pipe insulation. Modified MDI grades are preferred in integral skin, elastomer and shoe sole systems for processability and mechanical properties.
TDI (toluene diisocyanate) is mainly used in flexible slabstock (block) foam production. The right isocyanate grade depends on the polyol system it is combined with, the target density and hardness, and the process conditions. Our technical team selects the right grade for your application with you.
Data Sheet and Sample
The technical data sheet and safety data sheet for this system are shared on request.
Isocyanates are sensitive to moisture; store them in sealed packaging in a dry, temperature-controlled area. Follow the personal protective equipment and ventilation requirements in the safety data sheet. The product-specific technical data sheet and safety data sheet are shared on request.

More from Raw Materials & Chemicals

Polyols
In rigid foam systems, polyether polyols, which are used in block and sheet foam production, and saturated polyester polyols, which are widely utilized in applications such as foam, footwear, and elastomers, are classified based on their linear or different molecular structures.

Polyol & MDI Systems
Polyol and MDI (Methylene Diphenyl Diisocyanate) are the two fundamental components used in the production of polyurethane systems.

Prepolymers
Polyurethane production relies heavily on high-performance raw materials, and prepolymers are among the most critical components in this process.
