In 2021, Pluskim proudly participated in the Aysaf Shoes and Sub-Industry Fair, one of Turkey’s most influential events for the footwear sector. Bringing together manufacturers, raw material suppliers, machinery companies, designers, and international buyers, the fair served as an important platform for innovation, collaboration, and showcasing the future of shoe manufacturing. For Pluskim, being present at Aysaf reflected its strong commitment to polyurethane solutions for the global shoe industry.
At the fair, Pluskim introduced its wide range of polyurethane systems, prepolymers, polyester polyols, adhesives, and PU-based shoe sole solutions specially developed for safety shoes, sports shoes, slippers, sandals, boots, and casual footwear. Visitors showed great interest in Pluskim’s high abrasion resistance formulations, light-density systems, shock-absorbing materials, and strong adhesion properties, which are used in both single and double-density PU soles.
The Aysaf Fair also provided an opportunity for Pluskim to highlight its R&D capabilities and system house structure, which allow the company to design customized polyurethane systems based on different hardness levels, density requirements, flexibility demands, and production conditions. Many local and international manufacturers emphasized their satisfaction with Pluskim’s 6500-ton prepolymer capacity and 50,000-ton total production capability, especially after the company’s polyester polyol investment in 2020.
Throughout the fair, Pluskim representatives held productive meetings with shoe manufacturers, sole producers, mold designers, and chemical distributors. Topics such as eco-friendly formulations, solvent-free adhesives, recyclable materials, energy-efficient production, and sustainable chemistry were frequently discussed. Pluskim once again highlighted its guiding principle: “Chemistry for Good”, aiming not only to supply raw materials but to create value for people, industry, and the environment.
Participation in the 2021 Aysaf Fair was also strategically important as Turkey continues to be a global hub for footwear production, exporting to Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and Central Asia. By attending, Pluskim strengthened its relationships with existing partners and built new collaborations that support innovation and international growth.
More than just an exhibition, Aysaf 2021 represented Pluskim’s evolving role in the shoe industry—not only as a supplier, but as a reliable solution partner, technology developer, and sustainability advocate.
