2K Aliphatic PU Top Coat

Product Overview

Polyurethane-based, two-component top coat. Resistant to UV rays, it provides a glossy and non-yellowing finish. Commonly used as a protective layer over stone binder systems.

Application Steps & Coverage

1) Primer/Base:Use suitable primer/intermediate (e.g., 600-04/05, 600-06/09).
2) Mixing: A+B per manufacturer ratio (typ. 100:20–30 w/w), 2–3 min low speed.
3) Application:Roller/spray, 1–2 coats.
4) Recoating: 4–8 h (20–25°C).
 

Coverage

0.20–0.35 kg/m²/coat.

Cure

Tack free 2–3 h; full 7 days (chemical resistance).

 

Application Conditions

Substrate/ambient temperature 10–35°C, RH ≤ 80%. Beware of dew point.
 

Substrate Preparation

Clean, dry, sound; free from oil, dust, loose particles and curing compound residues.
 

Tool Cleaning

Clean tools immediately after use with solvent/appropriate cleaner.

 

Packaging

A+B set; typically 15–20 kg (color options)
 

Storage/Shelf Life

12 months in unopened containers, store cool & dry (protect from direct sun and frost).

 

Safety

Wear gloves, goggles and suitable mask during application. Ensure ventilation in confined spaces. Follow the MSDS.
