he year 2019 marked a significant milestone for Pluskim—not only in terms of production growth but also in technological advancement and sector-focused innovation. During this period, we commissioned our Footwear Application Machine and Laboratory, enabling us to provide faster, more reliable and application-oriented polyurethane solutions for the footwear industry.
The footwear industry demands precision, durability, comfort and lightweight performance all at once. With this in mind, our newly established laboratory allows us to conduct tests for single- and double-density PU sole systems, silicone coatings, reaction times, adhesion strength and density measurements, all under conditions that closely simulate real production environments.
Equipped with a high-pressure polyurethane injection machine, our laboratory makes it possible to replicate industrial-scale operations. This allows us to analyze performance issues experienced by manufacturers and develop tailor-made formulations and solutions based on real production data. In this way, Pluskim positions itself not only as a chemical supplier but as a solution partner providing tested and ready-to-use polyurethane systems.
This facility also accelerated our R&D activities, especially in developing lightweight, abrasion-resistant, hydrolysis-stable and flexible sole systems for a wide range of footwear applications including safety shoes, sports shoes, sandals, slippers and fashion footwear.
