We increased our capacity to 50000 Tons with Polyester Polyol Production in 2020

The year 2020 marked one of the most significant milestones in Pluskim’s industrial journey. By launching Polyester Polyol production, Pluskim increased its total annual capacity to 50,000 tons, reinforcing its position as a strong and innovative player in the global polyurethane industry.

Polyester polyols are a key raw material used in the production of flexible and rigid polyurethane foams, footwear systems, adhesives, elastomers, coatings, and insulation materials. With this investment, Pluskim not only expanded its product portfolio but also strengthened its ability to offer fully integrated polyurethane solutions, from prepolymers to system house formulations.

With the addition of polyester polyol production, Pluskim gained full control over the value chain, enabling better cost optimization, product consistency, and fast adaptation to customer-specific requirements. This integration allowed the company to supply tailor-made polyol blends with improved mechanical strength, thermal resistance, hydrolysis stability, and processability, especially for the footwear, furniture, automotive, and insulation sectors.

Reaching a total production capacity of 50,000 tons per year also meant increased global competitiveness. Pluskim further strengthened its presence in strategic markets such as Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and Latin America. Thanks to higher capacity and advanced logistics planning, the company began delivering products more efficiently, while ensuring stable supply for long-term business partners.

Despite the challenges faced globally in 2020, Pluskim remained committed to sustainability, safety, and responsible chemistry. Polyester polyol production was designed in line with environmental standards, focusing on energy efficiency, waste recovery, and reduced carbon footprint. This approach reflects the company’s core philosophy: “Chemistry for Good.”

The launch of polyester polyol production was not solely a capacity expansion—it was a strategic transformation that contributed to R&D development, innovative material design, and a stronger system house approach. Today, this investment stands as one of the most important pillars of Pluskim’s long-term vision.

With 50,000 tons of annual capacity and a growing portfolio of polyurethane solutions, Pluskim continues to move forward—developing chemistry that adds value to industries and improves everyday life.
