Decorative Polyurethane Raw Materials

Two-Component Rigid Polyurethane Systems for Insulation and Decoration

These systems are advanced two-component rigid polyurethane formulations designed specifically for building landscaping, architectural detailing, and decorative applications. In addition to enhancing the visual appeal of surfaces, the natural thermal insulation properties of polyurethane significantly improve energy efficiency by reducing heat transfer. This makes the material ideal for both functional and decorative use in modern construction.

Application Methods

The production and application of these systems can be carried out in two different ways, depending on the desired surface characteristics, project scale, and processing equipment.

Injection Decorative Polyurethane Systems

Product Description

Injection Polyurethane Systems

Decorative Injection Polyurethane Systems

The PLUSOL R-105-xx series represents a high-performance group of two-component injection polyurethane systems designed for both decorative and structural applications.

These systems can be processed using high-pressure or low-pressure injection machines, ensuring flexibility across different production environments.

Their compatibility with a wide range of closed-mold materials—such as aluminum, polyester, and epoxy—makes them a versatile solution for manufacturers producing fine, detailed architectural components.

A key advantage of the PLUSOL R-105-xx system is its excellent fluidity. The optimized viscosity profile, combined with tailored additive packages, allows the material to flow effortlessly into molds and capture even the smallest geometric details.

This results in products with sharp definition, uniform density, and a clean surface finish. With a Shore D hardness value of 70, the system provides a strong, stable, and smooth final surface, which is ideal for decorative parts requiring dimensional accuracy and durability.

The closed-cell structure of these polyurethane systems contributes significantly to long-term performance.

Because closed-cell materials absorb minimal moisture, the final products exhibit high resistance to environmental factors such as rain, humidity, temperature changes, and strong winds.

This weather-resistant profile ensures that components used in outdoor architectural applications maintain their stability and appearance for many years.

Additionally, the formulation is engineered in accordance with TS EN 13501-1 standards and classified as Class E, making it suitable for safe use in building environments.

Another practical advantage is the material’s mechanical workability. Once cured, the system allows surface sanding and provides excellent screw-holding strength, making it compatible with high-density substrates.

This feature enables ease of installation during façade applications, assembly processes, and decorative mounting tasks.

a. Low-Density Polyurethane Systems

The low-density range of the PLUSOL R-105-xx series is specifically designed for indoor and selected outdoor decorative components. With a usable density range of 55 kg/m³ to 100 kg/m³, these systems are ideal for lightweight architectural elements where aesthetic value and ease of handling are priorities.

b. High-Density Polyurethane Systems

The high-density version of the PLUSOL R-105-xx series is developed for demanding exterior applications. With densities ranging from 120 kg/m³ to 500 kg/m³, they provide higher load-bearing capacity, improved mechanical strength, and superior dimensional stability, making them suitable for large outdoor structures or elements exposed to constant environmental stress.

Spray Decorative Polyurethane Systems

Product Description

Spray Decorative Polyurethane Systems

The PLUSOL R-106-xx series is an advanced polyurethane system specifically developed for producing large, detailed, and patterned decorative components that cannot be manufactured using conventional closed-mold injection technologies. Instead of traditional injection methods, these systems are applied through spray injection machines, allowing manufacturers to work efficiently with open silicone or polyester molds.

This method provides greater design freedom and makes it possible to achieve complex geometries, textured surfaces, and oversized architectural elements with ease.

One of the key advantages of the PLUSOL R-106-xx series is its faster curing time compared to standard injection-type decorative polyurethane systems. This accelerated reactivity helps streamline production workflows and decrease overall cycle time, making it ideal for high-volume or time-sensitive manufacturing environments.

However, to ensure optimal performance and consistent results, the use of a suitable spray injection machine is essential.

The system can be formulated within a wide density range—from 120 kg/m³ to 400 kg/m³—allowing manufacturers to select the most appropriate density based on the strength, weight, and structural requirements of the final product.

This flexibility makes the PLUSOL R-106-xx series an excellent choice for exterior and interior architectural decorations, themed constructions, artistic installations, and large-scale design elements.
